UNLV’s Cannabis Policy Institute (CPI) and International Gaming Institute (IGI) will host the third annual Gaming & Cannabis Policy Discussion in the William S. Boyd School of Law’s Moot Courtroom as well as online via Zoom.
The panel event, moderated by CPI Director Riana Durrett, will begin with a brief presentation by Cannabis Economics Group director at U.C. Davis, Robin Goldstein, Ph.D. who will discuss a recently completed cannabis and gaming research report, The 1,500 Foot Wall: Barriers between cannabis and gaming in Nevada and the potential for integration. Following this presentation, Director Durrett will moderate a discussion featuring panelists, Nevada senator Rochelle Nguyen; Nevada assemblyman Max Carter; Seth Schorr, CEO of Fifth Street Gaming; and Alan Feldman, IGI director of strategic initiatives. The panel will discuss the policy status quo and the future potential of the intersection between cannabis and gaming.
