The campus community is invited to attend a special Tribal Nations healing ceremony.

The ceremony will include a land acknowledgement by President Whitfield, an opening prayer from Chris Spotted Eagle, and special words from tribal leaders.

Highlights of the ceremony will include bird singing, a form of music traditionally sung by Native American tribes of the Southwest; the healing jingle dance; and a purifying smudging/blessing.

The ceremony will conclude with a closing prayer.
