Sole Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating foot diseases in East Africa, particularly through the prevention of jigger infestations. We will focus on educating participants about jiggers, supporting communities through medical aid, and contributing to job creation in Uganda. Participants will use donated blue jeans to cut out shoe patterns, which will be sent to Uganda for final assembly by local shoemakers. The cost of each pair of shoes ($35) covers medical treatment, hygiene education, outreach efforts, and fair compensation for Ugandan tailors.
