Serve & Lead Mini-Con 2026: Taking Flight
Campus Location
Office/Remote Location
Description
The Serve & Lead MiniCon is a one-day conference designed to help UNLV students connect their community engagement and leadership development experiences with the careers and callings that await them.
This year’s theme - Taking Flight - symbolizes how small actions, intentional design, and supportive winds can lift students into their next chapter with confidence and direction. It is also fitting for our first attempt to get the Mini-Con off the ground.
Just as a paper airplane is crafted, adjusted, and launched with purpose, the Mini-Con empowers students to shape their own trajectory. Through interactive workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on engagement opportunities, participants will explore how service, community involvement, and leadership roles become the folds and angles that give structure to their professional identities. Attendees will learn to articulate the transferable skills gained through service work and leadership activities, and understand how these experiences create lift in any workplace or avocation.
Whether students are still experimenting with the best design, catching an updraft, or ready for takeoff, the Serve & Lead Mini-Con offers the tools, networks, and inspiration to support their ascent. Join us as we explore how serving others builds stronger leaders—and how your unique story can take flight into a future driven by purpose, passion, and impact.
