Dr. Christy Tangney, professor in the Department of Clinical Nutrition in the College of Health Sciences at Rush Medical College in Chicago, brings to us insights gained from the MIND trial for the prevention of cognitive decline, published on Aug. 17 in the NEJM.  

Dr. Tangney has extensive experience in clinical trials of nutrition interventions, including NOURISH, Heart-2-Heart, Be Lean and Strong, and the MIND trial.  She serves on the Medical Nutrition Council of the ASN and has chaired theASN Section on Chronic Disease and Aging.
