Description

The agenda and topics for part two of this training include:

  1. Implementation of accessibility (hands-on using Microsoft Word) 
  2. Review materials for accessibility 
  3. Additional intermediate trainings, follow-up opportunities.

To participate in this session, you need to have completed an earlier first half of the Foundations of Accessibility (FOA) training.

Important Notes

  1. Please ensure that you have an up-to-date version of the Microsoft Office or Microsoft Word application you will be using. 
    1. If you are using a UNLV-issued computer, that probably will be Office or Word 2019 or 2021. 
    2. If you are using a personal, non-work computer, that should be Microsoft/Word 365. Versions of Office or Word 2013/2015 or earlier are not useful for this training; please plan accordingly.
    3. Please visit UNLV's Microsoft Office page for next steps as applicable.
  2. A supplied DOCX attachment will be used for your hands-on work during the second session.
  3. During this second session, we'll ask you to go back and forth between your Microsoft Word document and the course content in WebCampus.
  4. If you plan to upload PDFs either to classes you supervise/teach or for non-academic purposes for a departmental, college or UNLV project website, please ensure that you have the full paid Adobe Acrobat Pro DC if you have a barcoded UNLV computer before the training.
    1. Please visit UNLV's page for this Acrobat software. The free Adobe Reader will not suffice.
    2. If you have the full and updated Adobe Creative Cloud, Acrobat is part of the collection. Please ensure that it is up-to-date prior to the training.
