The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, in partnership with the National Football League (NFL) and UNLV Health, will be hosting the NFL Health and Safety Super Bowl Medical Summit. This event, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2024 at the Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building (with one session being offered virtually at no cost), aims to provide an overview of injury prevention, head impact measurement and reduction, concussion review, sudden cardiac death in athletes, and emergency management strategies used in sports medicine/football.

The summit will feature a panel of experts in the sports medicine landscape, including, but not limited to:

  • Dr. Allen Sills, NFL Chief Medical Officer
  • Dr. Jim Ellis, NFL Medical Director of Emergency Preparedness
  • Dr. Navdeep Singh, Las Vegas Raiders Chief Medical Officer
  • Dr. Glenn Barnes, Associate Director of Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Sports Medicine Fellowship
