A Mentally Healthy New Year
When
Campus Location
Description
Start the new year with clarity, connection, and practical tools for mental well-being. This event brings together two expert speakers to help you understand mental health across the lifespan, recognize when support may be needed, and learn effective ways to calm the mind and body. Through real-world examples and guided discussion, this event helps participants feel more confident recognizing what is part of normal aging, what may be treatable, and how to speak openly about their well-being without fear or shame.
This event will feature Cassia Ciciliano, Community Resource Specialist with NAMI Southern Nevada, who specializes in mental health education, stigma reduction, trauma-informed support, and connecting individuals and families to local community resources. Our second speaker, Dr. Anne Weisman, Director of Well-Being & Integrative Medicine at the Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, who specializes in mind-body medicine approaches that help individuals move from stress and overwhelm to calm, resilience, and balance. Together, their expertise equips participants with greater clarity, practical coping tools, and a clearer sense of where to turn for support—both personally and within the community.
This event is an empowering way to transition to the new year while being grounded in compassion, knowledge, and actionable tools to support a healthier you. We hope to see you there!
