Description

Join the UNLV Writing Center and the Teaching and Learning Commons for a hands-on, two-part workshop series that offers practical strategies for designing clear assignments and giving efficient, meaningful feedback to enhance student learning while reducing faculty workload. These sessions are inspired by conversations from the Managing Undergraduate Classroom Writing Community of Practice.

Part 1: Designing Effective Assignment Prompts

In the first session, faculty will learn how to craft assignment prompts that set students up for success by making expectations transparent for both grading and student learning. You’ll also learn how to confidently guide students on when and how to use (or avoid) AI, helping students focus on the core skills and knowledge the assignment is designed to build.

Bring one of your own assignment prompts to revise during the Session.
