The LEE Career and Professional Development Office will lead a practical session focused on helping students navigate job offers with confidence. This workshop will cover how to evaluate offers holistically, understand benefits packages, and apply effective negotiation strategies appropriate for graduate-level roles. Students will leave with a clearer understanding of what to look for, how to ask informed questions, and how to make decisions aligned with their long-term goals.
By the end of this workshop, students will be able to:
- Identify key components of a job offer beyond salary (benefits, culture, growth potential, etc.)
- Assess the long-term value of benefits packages, including retirement, insurance, and paid time off
- Apply negotiation strategies relevant to graduate-level roles and industries
- Recognize common pitfalls and misconceptions when reviewing offers
- Ask informed questions to make confident career decisions
