Description

LaVell will present his final recital as a graduate student in the School of Music at UNLV. The lecture will be comprised of research from his recently completed dissertation entitled Negro Spirituals: The Long Journey West.

In alignment with the dissertation's thesis, spirituals will be presented, including two new arrangements by Thompson! He will be joined by some friends and colleagues who will also present one selection of a choral number.

Attendees are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage.  Parking is free all day Saturdays and Sundays; Monday through Thursday after 7 p.m.; and Fridays after 1 p.m. During these times, visitors may park in any staff, student, or visitor space free of charge. Please observe handicapped/disabled, reserved, resident, and emergency parking restrictions at all times.
