Adrian Luchini, recently retired professor of architecture at Washington University in St. Louis, will deliver a lecture at 6 p.m. on March 11 in the School of Architecture building on the UNLV campus. The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the Klai Juba Wald Lecture Series. A reception at 5:30 p.m. will precede the lecture.

Adrian Luchini is the Principal of LUCHINIAD and recently retired from Washington University in St. Louis, where he had taught since 1985. Educated in Argentina and the United States, he holds degrees from Universidad Católica de Córdoba, the University of Cincinnati, and Harvard GSD.

Luchini’s architectural and urban design work spans the U.S., China, South Korea, Argentina, Canada, and Uruguay, covering residential, commercial, educational, and infrastructural projects. His work has been widely published in major international journals and has earned numerous honors, including Emerging Voices from the Architectural League of New York, Progressive Architecture Awards, multiple AIA Design Awards, and Biennial Architecture Prizes in Argentina.

He has lectured and exhibited internationally across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Luchini’s practice is grounded in the belief that built work is the ultimate testing ground for architectural ideas and a powerful instrument for positive societal change.
