Description

"It's Just Coffee" is a series of meet-ups (approximately twice a month) for students to practice their dialogue skills in a low-stakes environment.

This event brings together diverse perspectives to engage in dialogue about complex topics by sharing viewpoints, listening openly, and working to understand one another. The goal is not consensus; it is shared learning.

No topic expertise is required to participate, and a dialogue facilitator and topic guide will be available to assist all participants. And of course, there will be coffee (and tea and snacks)!

Participants in this session may engage in questions such as "how should medical decisions balance personal autonomy and community well-being... and who gets to decide that balance?" and "does protecting public health justify limiting individual choice?"

Admission Information

The event is open to UNLV students and we require an NSHE card or number to attend. RSVP is encouraged but not mandatory.
