Description
The Immigrant Career Summit aims to provide the immigrant community with critical information and resources about higher education, business establishment, and entrepreneurship without regard to immigration status. Various NSHE institutions and community organizations have partnered to bring forward this summit and aim to bridge the knowledge gap and encourage economic growth within the community.
The event will start with a resource fair and lunch at 11 a.m., allowing attendees to interact with representatives from various institutions and non-profit organizations. At 12 p.m., a special presentation will be given by local business experts, who will provide a roadmap for immigrants aspiring to start their own businesses. At 2 p.m., local government offices will share valuable insights and practical tips for applying for professional, career and business licenses. To conclude the summit, various Nevada colleges and universities will highlight the importance of education, ensuring that attendees leave equipped with a comprehensive understanding of how to obtain a college degree regardless of immigration status.
