Session Objectives

  • Discuss lifestyle modifications that can facilitate weight loss for patients, including diet, exercise and behavioral approaches that may be integrated in the clinical setting.
  • Evaluate medication options for weight loss among patients with particular focus on GLP-1 agonists, their efficacy, costs and side effects currently available in clinical practice
  • Describe surgical approaches to weight loss, their efficacy and potential complications for patients in clinical care.
