Objectives
- Discuss evidence based data to raise awareness about physician suicide
- Delineate recent trends in physician suicide awareness
- Distinguish factors specific to physician suicides
- Review resources and interventions for physicians in crisis
Accreditation Statement
1.0 Live American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) prescribed credit. The term of approval is for May 16, 2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AAFP-prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association (AMA) as equivalent to AMA Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA PRA. When applying for the AMA PRA, prescribed credit earned must be reported as prescribed, not as Category 1. CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
