Session Objectives:

Describe the different types of intimate partner violence to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Identify the factors contributing to the development of intimate partner violence in relationships with specific attention to vulnerabilities in women across healthcare professions to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Recognize how to identify violence in relationships among patients in the clinical setting and appropriate interventions to reduce exposure to violence.
