Co-hosted by UNLV, UNR, CSN, and TMCC, this free, one-day virtual symposium brings faculty together to explore the use of open educational resources (OER) and open pedagogy. This year’s theme, Reimagining Learning Beyond the Textbook, highlights innovative approaches to teaching and learning that extend beyond traditional course materials. The symposium will feature an opening keynote by Karen Cangialosi, Professor Emerita at Keene State University, and a nationally recognized open education advocate, co-founder of the RIOS Institute, which supports open STEM education, and has served with the Regional Leaders of Open Education Network.
