Doctor of Musical Arts Clarinet Chamber Recital featuring Victoria Williams

Description
Victoria Williams presents a night of chamber music featuring the clarinet. Each work explores a contrasting era and style, showcasing the clarinet's wide range of musical range and versatility, ranging from the classical to the modern and contemporary.
The program will begin with the Kegelstatt Trio Number 4 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a bright and joyous work displaying the musical style and joy of the Classical Era. This will be followed by Sonate pour Trois Clarinettes by Marcel Mihalovici, a harsh and atonal work displaying 20th century clarinet technique and a sharp contrast in style and timbre with the rest of the program, utilizing E-flat, A, and Bass Clarinets. The finale, Divertimento by Matthew Nell, is an incredibly fun and exciting reed quintet that premiered in fall 2025 that emphasizes modern tonal style and expressiveness energetically to end the program.
Performers include Victoria Williams and colleagues Tyler Gordon (viola), Katie Leung (piano), Vitalii Prusak (clarinet), Robert Mitchell (bass clarinet), Nick Carozza (oboe), Megan Kearney (alto saxophone), and Liz Valvano (bassoon).
Parking
Attendees are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage. Parking is free after 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Fridays after 1 p.m.; and all day Saturdays and Sundays. During these times, visitors may park in any staff, student, or visitor space free of charge. Please observe handicapped/disabled, reserved, resident, and emergency parking restrictions at all times.
