Chinese calligraphy (中國書法) has been practiced for more than two thousand years and is regarded as one of China's highest art forms. Combining language, history, philosophy, and artistic expression, calligraphy reflects the beauty of written characters while cultivating mindfulness, concentration, and balance through the movement of the brush. This free introductory session allows participants to learn the fundamentals of brush techniques, stroke order, character structure, and the traditions of Chinese calligraphy. Designed for participants of all backgrounds, no prior calligraphy experience or knowledge of Chinese is required.
