In this six-week workshop,  students will be introduced to all the essential materials, techniques, and foundational skills needed for Chinese calligraphy. You will learn how to use traditional inkstones and how to maintain your brushes properly. Through guided demonstrations and individual practice, students will develop confidence and control over their brushwork. By the end of the workshop, students will be able to create their own finished calligraphy piece.

The Sands Institute provides calligraphy supplies. The workshop will be held on Mondays from 4:30-6 p.m., January 26 through March 9.
