UNLV Film is proud to announce a new festival that will explore the boundaries of cinematic imagination with short films that embrace experimental styles, methods, structures, and aesthetics. Join us as we boldly go where no cineaste has gone before! 

We invite you to explore the rich expressive boundaries of the medium with unconventional approaches to style and form, including abstract, non-narrative projects. We embrace all modes, methods, and techniques, including live-action, animation, and scratching directly on film.

This year’s inaugural theme is renewal – in ourselves, our communities, and our world. We appreciate entries that address the theme, but all submissions are welcome.

Submissions are due November 3, 2025. Screenings are November 13-14, 2025.
