Description

Seeing with Paint

Seeing with Paint features the work of UNLV's Beginning Painting class taught by Assistant Professor in Residence, Sean Slattery. In this class students learn how to observe, how to work with color and oil paints, and how to analyze current art in the context of their individual artistic goals. The student artists then develop their own still life vignettes which are representative of themselves and their current lives, and produce a painting of it.  Participating artists include:

  • Latisha Banks
  • Kenneth Descalso
  • Moriah Dubowsky
  • Amanda Harris
  • Sam Jimenez-Szczawinska
  • Iulia Nita
  • Marshall Pentecost
  • Ilyana Raymond
  • Maria Sanchez
  • Leonardo Villalobos
  • Jamie Zapeda
