Description

2019 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition

May 3 – June 7, 2019

Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery

The work of this year’s class of BFA students of the Department of Art features a broad spectrum of media including painting, sculpture, video, installation, clothing design and performance. Over the past year each student artist has been developing and refining a distinct body of work. Ideas of defamiliarizing everyday encounters, modularity, anxiety, femininity, the Westernization of Japanese fashion, ruination and the discovery of value within refuse are examples of some of the main themes emerging from their investigations. Traditional and unconventional processes collide in this diverse display of unique perspectives within contemporary art. The artists represented include:

Mia Badilla
