Description

Thank you for your interest in attending this month's AI Faculty Hands-On Lab focused on ethics and considerations. We’ll spend some time experimenting with generative AI tools for common teaching tasks, so come ready with a course topic or idea you’d like to explore. Together, we’ll discuss creative ways to use AI in teaching, reflect on its ethical considerations, and share practical strategies for using it to support meaningful student learning.

Objectives

  • Apply generative AI tools to common teaching tasks (e.g., content creation, feedback, or scenario design) in a hands-on setting.

  • Evaluate the ethical implications of AI use in teaching and learning, including issues of bias, transparency, and academic integrity.

  • Reflect on the potential impacts of AI on student learning, skill development, and the instructor–student relationship.

  • Develop practical strategies or guidelines for responsible and transparent AI use within their own courses or disciplines.
