Connection, Communication, and Courage (Triple C)

The “Triple C group” focuses on providing a safe and encouraging space to explore some of the barriers that may be getting in the way of connecting and communicating in productive ways with others. This group also provides insight into how to create and maintain meaningful relationships. 4 sessions (Virtual), 10/31/23 - 11/21/23, Tuesday 3 pm - 4 pm.

Compassion Group

The Compassion Group helps students by developing compassion for oneself and others. This group explores what self-compassion is, how to build a healthier relationship with oneself and others. This group is likely to benefit most students, especially students who experience high self-criticism and shame. 5 Sessions (Virtual), 10/9/23 - 11/6/23, Monday 1 pm - 2:30 pm

LGBTQ+ Support Group

A group for students looking to give and accept support, share resources, and discuss topics related to sexuality, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationships, and coping with living in a heteronormative environment. Ongoing (In-Person), Friday 12 pm - 1 pm

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

This skills based group is designed to help students understand and manage their emotions more effectively. This group addresses how our emotional reactions can affect our relationships and learn skills to help us navigate problems when they arise. In this group students also learn ways to better handle crises, to avoid making situations worse. This group covers a variety of skills over 8 weeks including Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. 8 Sessions (In-Person), 10/18/23 - 12/6/23, Thursday 3 pm - 4:30 pm

In My Feels: Understanding my Emotions Group

This group helps students develop an understanding of their emotions. More specifically, students will learn what emotions are as well as how to identify, sit with, and regulate them and how to communicate emotions to others. Throughout the group, activities and prompting questions will be utilized to facilitate reflection. Emotion regulation skills will also be introduced to practice outside of the group. 5 sessions (In-Person), 10/23/23 - 11/30/23, Monday, 2 pm - 3:30 pm

Grief and Loss Group

This group provides support for individuals navigating challenging life changes such as the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or difficult life transitions. Participants will address common misconceptions about grief, acquire coping skills, explore meaning-making processes, and process their experiences. Topics covered include mindfulness, emotion regulation, primary and secondary losses, self-compassion, and narrative therapy through grief journals. 8 sessions (In-Person), 10/5/23 - 11/30/23, Thursday, 3 pm - 4 pm
