"The Cortex" is a photography exhibition from the UNLV Photo Club that explores the connection between photography, memory, and personal experience. The show invites artists to present work inspired by a memory that has stayed with them, whether that’s a specific moment, a person, a place, a feeling, or an experience. Thirteen artists are featured, including Samara Jade Rosenberg, Jonathan Reyes, Zeena Abou-Nas, Kai Bateman, Conrad Heil, Andrea Golarte, Tyler Kulin, Alexander Prifti, De’Jonn Manigault, Arely Ahumada, Julia Turco, Breanna Hansen, and Jesse Ramos.

Metanoia presents the midway exhibition for the UNLV BFA program, showing work by 12 candidates partway through their degree. The show marks a point of change and reflection, where artists look back at the work they’ve made and forward to where it’s going. Visitors will see a range of media and approaches in one space, as the students test ideas and develop their practice. The exhibition runs November 13–20, 2026, at Grant Hall Gallery, with an opening reception on Friday, November 13, from 5 to 8 p.m.
