The College of Education is looking to hire a part-time event coordinator. The position will report to the college's communications director as a part of the college's communications team. This part-time position (20 hours/week, $40,000/year) is on a Letter of Appointment and may eventually become a full-time and/or permanent position. In addition, this position is able to work remotely for approximately 80-90% of the time.  

Duties
  • Organizing, planning, and executing formal and informal for internal and external audiences
  • Developing and maintaining event budgets in coordination with the college's business manager
  • Coordinating events in conjunction with the college's communications team
  • Supporting the college's communications team with internal and external outreach efforts (e.g., volunteer recruitment)
  • Assisting with alumni and development events and communications as needed 
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, 2-3 years of event planning and management experience, Candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, event management, planning, and implementation knowledge and skills, and the ability to manage special projects and initiatives to support the University's Top Tier mission and community engagement designations. Project project management and budgetary skills are also critical for the position.
