About the Scarlet and Gray Star Distinction

Many UNLV registered student organizations (RSOs) are committed to giving their time to their community to make a difference and engage with various organizations. Every hour spent in service reflects their passion for enacting change and inspires others to get involved in meaningful ways.

In recognition of their service, RSOs who have dedicated over 250 hours of service to the community are awarded the Scarlet Star Distinction, and RSOs who have devoted any time to service in their community (regardless of the number of hours) are awarded the Gray Star distinction.
