Department Overview

The Work Order Control Unit (WOCU) is the administrative side for several Business Affairs Administration departments and manages the UNLV Wireless program. This team:

  • Centrally supports recharge billing for Telecommunications, Parking, and Delivery Services
  • Acts as the shared HR, procurement, and inventory liaison for Administration Leadership, Telecommunications, and Shared Services
  • Manages the UNLV Switchboard, triaging incoming Help Desk calls and submitting requests where appropriate
  • Acts as Tier-1 Support for Central Billing, Telecommunications, UNLV Wireless, and Workday support

Department Services

  • HR/Procurement liaison and inventory/supplies management for Business Affairs Administration
  • UNLV Wireless program & Telecom billing software management
  • Central (recharge) Billing for: Telecommunications, Parking, Delivery Services, and Risk Management & Safety
  • UNLV Switchboard, facilitating work orders and tier-1 support for Workday help requests

Customers and Stakeholders

The Work Order Control Unit, as University Operators, support all calls made to the Help Desk.

Additionally, the Work Order Control Unit is an internal service provider for business units within UNLV Business Affairs Administration:

  • Liaison services for HR, procurement, and inventory
  • Support services for Workday, Central Billing, and Telecommunications Call Accounting
  • Management of the UNLV Wireless phones program
