Policy
UNLV reserves the right to block malicious, nuisance, and otherwise unwanted calls from entering the university’s phone system. Business related calls should not be blocked.
Calls can be blocked individually or globally.
- Individual call blocks prevent specific callers from reaching specific UNLV phones. These blocks can be configured by phone users or the Telecom Support Desk.
- Global call blocks prevent specific callers, or groups of callers, from reaching any UNLV phones. Global block requests must be submitted to the Telecom Support Desk. The Approving Authority will review all Global requests and approve or deny on a case-by-case basis.
Individuals can dispute blocking decisions by following the Dispute Procedure.
Call blocks will be reviewed on a schedule, outlined in the Call Block Review Procedure, to limit call blocking to active issues.
