State Public Works Division

The State Public Works Board plans, manages, and implements capital improvement projects for the state of Nevada with UNLV as the "using agency." As the state's building official, the board regulates all construction on state lands to safeguard public health, safety, and welfare.

State Fire Marshal

The university works with the Nevada State Fire Marshal to ensure campus construction projects comply with all standards and regulations of fire protection.

Clark County Department of Public Works

The university works with the Clark County Department of Public Works on off-site improvements related to university building projects. The department of public works delivers a wide range of services to the community including the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of essential public infrastructure such as roadways, bridges, traffic control devices, flood control facilities, and trails, for the safety of the public and for the proper stewardship of the revenues expended on infrastructure construction and maintenance.

Clark County Comprehensive Planning

Clark County Comprehensive Planning's mission is to develop and implement land use, zoning, and growth plans and programs for a diverse, vibrant community.

Clark County Department of Aviation

The Clark County Department of Aviation ensures that the mix of more than 40 airlines and numerous aviation support service operators reflect the high standards of the visitors and residents of Las Vegas. The Clark County Department of Aviation also oversees the business activities of the general aviation airports within the Clark County airport system.

Clark County Regional Flood Control District

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District was created in 1985 to develop a coordinated and comprehensive Master Plan to solve flooding problems, to regulate land use in flood hazard areas, to fund and coordinate the construction of flood control facilities, and to develop and contribute to the funding of a maintenance program for Master Plan flood control facilities.

Las Vegas Valley Water District

The university works with the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) to ensure water systems and facilities are constructed to comply with LVVWD standards.

Regional Transportation Commission

The university works with the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) on transportation projects related to the university. The RTC is responsible for overseeing the transportation planning process for Southern Nevada, and UNLV consults with them on projects with traffic and transportation impacts.
