Director of Compensation, Classification & Recruitment
Michelle Hogan is the Director of Compensation, Classification & Recruitment in UNLV’s Department of Human Resources, where she has worked for the last seven years. Michelle serves as a subject matter expert for Workday Recruiting and played an instrumental role in the planning and implementation of the recruitment and HCM modules in Workday. She leads a team of nine HR professionals who are dedicated to serving the campus in its mission to achieve its Top Tier goals. Michelle also partners and collaborates with campus stakeholders in strategic initiatives such as Workday process improvements and training, recruiting, and overseeing compensation/classification activities. Prior to UNLV, Ms. Hogan was the Recruitment Coordinator for UNR's School of Medicine, where she received a runner up Employee of the Year award. Early in her career, Ms. Hogan worked for Careers Entertainment as a Regional Training & Development Specialist and assisted the Vice President in developing training programs for line employees, supervisors and managers, and helped deploy the first e-learning platform and learning management system available to all of its 45,000+ employees. Ms. Hogan received an award from the learning partner (then elementK), on behalf of Caesars Entertainment, for her oversight and marketing of the learning management system. A UNLV alumni, Ms. Hogan obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and has received a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) from the Society of Human Resources. She has 18 years of Human Resources experience, and has worked for the Nevada System of Higher Education for nearly 12 years. In her free time, Ms. Hogan enjoys movies, travel, bike riding, music, singing and concerts.
