Hamed Mahmudi is the Lee associate professor of finance in the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His research interests include corporate finance, corporate governance, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and politics and finance.

His research has been published in leading finance and economics journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Finance, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Financial Management. His research has been presented at leading academic conferences, including the American Finance Association, Western Finance Association, European Finance Association, and NBER Corporate Finance meetings.

Before joining UNLV, Mahmudi was a faculty member at the University of Delaware and the University of Oklahoma. He received his Ph.D. in finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
