Webinar: I Thought I Could Retire by Now: Managing the Emotions of Delayed Retirement
Office/Remote Location
Description
In this webinar, we will focus on the emotional experience of realizing you may need to work longer than you originally anticipated. Participants will explore the feelings that can arise in this situation, including disappointment, stress, and uncertainty, and how these emotions can impact overall well-being. This webinar will consider the pros and cons of delaying retirement and examine the emotional differences between involuntary and voluntary retirement. We will touch on common life circumstances and broader societal forces that contribute to extended working years. Through discussion and reflection, attendees will gain greater awareness of the emotional and situational factors at play during this life stage. Finally, participants will learn how to manage the transition—not just the change—by developing a thoughtful and intentional plan.
