Description

Todd Jones, Dept. of Philosophy, UNLV—The Academic world is in a quandary about what to do about the widespread availability of AI. There are many who believe that it can be used to greatly enhance student learning. Many more believe that it is little more than a tool enabling students to cheat more easily. Either way, what we can’t do is ignore it. In this talk I’ll explore some of the ways we might be able to keep some of the worst problems of AI at bay, and at how there could be some types of assignments that might actually help students in ways that would be difficult to do without AI.
