University Forum Lecture: Punk Is a Moving Target
Campus Location

Description
Mimi Thi Nguyen, professor of women's, gender, and sexuality studies at Dartmouth College, will discuss punk as a moving target with forms, structures, aesthetics, and networks of feelings that are not stable or the same in any time or place. Nguyen makes sense of living within the spaces where she met punk's promise -- through war, forced removal, crimes of private property and public disorder, and chance encounters with friends and strangers.
Co-sponsored by Asian and Asian American Studies, Black Mountain Institute, Department of Anthropology, Neon Pacific Initiative, and PunkCon.
