Description
The UNLV MR Imaging Core (UMIC) is hosting specialized, hands-on training workshops to support upcoming imaging research.
- Siemens MRI Training Workshop: Oct. 7, 8, and 9, 2026
- NordicNeuroLab System Training: Oct. 28, 2026 (specifically for research teams conducting functional MRI fMRI studies)
Session Schedules
Both the Siemens training (Oct. 7-9) and the NordicNeuroLab training (Oct. 28) will run on the same daily schedule, led by a dedicated specialist:
- Morning Session: 8-11:30 a.m.
- Afternoon Session: 12:30-4 p.m.
Please note: On Friday, Oct. 9, only the Siemens morning session is available.
Due to strict capacity limits, seats are limited. The MRI Committee will review all applications and select attendees based on project readiness and applicability.
Admission Information
Open to faculty, staff, and students. Training is in person. Complete our registration form.
How to Apply
If you are a principal investigator (PI) or student interested in attending, please write a brief paragraph addressing the following points:
- MRI Research Project: A concise overview of your study, specific sequence/protocol needs, and whether you require NordicNeuroLab for fMRI.
- Proposed Timeline: Your expected target start date and overall timeline for scanning.
- Principal Investigator: The name of the PI overseeing the research.
- Session Preference: Your availability for the morning (8-11:30 a.m.) or afternoon (12:30-4 p.m.) session, and which training date(s) you are applying for.
