Description

This science-based somatic method integrates many carefully researched and proven techniques in a specific yoga sequence that inspires a sense of safety and connection by regulating the nervous system. It is easily adapted for all levels, ages, and capabilities. It can be done on a mat or chair at the level that is comfortable for you.

Trauma Recovery Yoga (TRY) is known to help with insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, hypervigilance, flashbacks, and other effects of trauma being held in the body. It is designed to rebalance the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems and enhance the overall feeling of well-being.

Online sessions are offered with Brenda Hershey (Executive Director of TRY Global) for trauma survivors throughout Nevada, the Route 91 community, emergency responders in Clark County, and anyone impacted by any mass violence incident nationwide approved for this no-cost integrative service through the Resiliency & Justice Center.
