As part of the Applying AI Strategies in Your Online Teaching series, this session explores the evolving role of AI in teaching and learning. During this 45-minute virtual conversation, faculty will examine common uses of AI in higher education, including how AI can be used to support student elarning outcomes, and considerations needed to take into account when using AI in your course. By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Discuss the role of AI in student learning outcomes including the ways responsibility, literacy, and ethics may have an influence
  • Understand the biases, ethical implications, and privacy concerns associated with AI and AI tools and potential impact on student learning
  • Evaluate strategies for integrating AI tools that responsibly support student learning outcomes.

Active listening and thoughtful participation is encouraged to promote meaningful discussion and ensure participants benefit from the shared ideas and experiences of the group.
