Description
ADL's Rising Above Together is daylong conference bringing civic leaders, educators, law enforcement, students, interfaith partners and community members together to combat antisemitism and fight hate for good.
Held in partnership with UNLV and taking place on the university’s Maryland Parkway campus, this inaugural gathering will spotlight the power of collective action and highlight ADL's commitment to building safer, more inclusive communities across Nevada.
The conference will include a morning keynote conversation with Interim UNLV President Chris Heavey and national ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, moderated by Boyd School of Law dean Leah Chan Grinvald. An afternoon panel will feature Parents 4 Peace, reformed extremists who will explore how radicalization happens, why it affects young people and families, and what can be done to prevent it.
Participants can also join one of four breakout sessions on topics including antisemitism and the law, practical tools and strategies for educators, navigating difficult conversations, and a UNLV-led session on Jewish inclusion and efforts to combat antisemitism through dialogue and relationship building.
Remarks from Nevada elected officials, ADL representatives, and Anila Ali, founder of the American Muslim & Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council, are also expected.
