Apr. 8, 2026, 12pm to 1:30pm

Description

On Wednesday, April 8, UNLV will host the internationally renowned Palestinian-American humanitarian, peace activist, and “radical pragmatist,” Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib.

Ahmed is a resident senior fellow in Middle East security studies at the Atlantic Council. He is the founder and leader of “Realign for Palestine,” an intellectual and political movement to challenge entrenched narratives around Israel and Palestine and to advance a new policy framework for pro-Palestine advocacy.

Realign for Palestine seeks to cultivate a new generation of voices on behalf of Palestinians based on “radical pragmatism” principles of autonomy, dignity, and self-determination for two nations with a shared interest in mutual security, nonviolence, and economic opportunity.
