The UNLV Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies and Nevada Press Foundation will host an event highlighting some of the state’s most impactful reporting honored in the Nevada Press Foundation’s 2025 Awards of Excellence. Attendees will hear from Alex Wright (Las Vegas Review-Journal), recognized for his breaking sports coverage; Hillary Davis (Las Vegas Sun), winner of the Outstanding Journalist award for her education reporting; and Eric Neugeboren (The Nevada Independent), honored as Journalist of Merit. The program’s feature discussion will spotlight the Story of the Year, led by Mark Robison of the Reno Gazette-Journal, offering a deeper dive into the reporting process, challenges, and impact of this statewide award-winning story. With refreshment breaks and opportunities to connect between panels, the forum is designed to inform, inspire, and celebrate the essential role of journalism in Nevada.
