In the wake of Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard/UNC, several lawsuits have been filed challenging Native Hawaiian programs, including a suit by SFFA challenging the admissions program at Kamehameha Schools. This webinar will provide updates on pending lawsuits and context for these current challenges. Speakers will discuss the statutory and historical bases for specific Native Hawaiian programs, major precedents shaping the current legal landscape, and potential impacts of the suits.
