Description

Mindfulness is a meditative practice that emphasizes a person’s acceptance of their experience in the present moment, without anxiety, fear, or judgment. This trauma-informed intervention can assist in creating a sense of security or safety and help increase self-awareness and empowerment while reducing stress and anxiety. Elizabeth Flocchini and Catherine Scherwenka offer these weekly sessions via Zoom for trauma survivors throughout Nevada, the Route 91 community, emergency responders in Clark County, and anyone impacted by any mass violence incident nationwide.

Catherine and Elizabeth were both part of the Wellness Recovery for Clark County after the 1 October incident. They have studied and trained for over 20 years at an academy in India and have dedicated their lives to helping humanity shift from stressful, anxious, lonely states to more connected, peaceful, joyful states. They both travel globally, sharing their wisdom and knowledge not only from what they have acquired from their studies but more importantly from their own life experiences.
