Description

Staying on top of the news and connected on social media can help you feel informed and engaged, but for many people it has also become a steady source of stress and anxiety. The same scroll that keeps you in the loop can leave you anxious, angry, or convinced the worst is about to happen. In this webinar, participants will learn how media consumption can affect mental and physical health; how to recognize when their own habits are making them feel worse; practical ways to change how they consume news and social media to avoid the negative consequences; how to engage online while limiting exposure to cyber-bullying and other harmful behavior; and how to spot and counter common thinking traps like catastrophizing and FOMO.
