Description
In this webinar, Courtney Luedke will address the critical role of mentoring in the student experience and its potential to shape one’s career pathway and aspirations in STEM. Most faculty don’t receive any training or development on mentoring; it is simply something they are expected to do. Faculty often learn to mentor through how they were mentored, which may not be the best place to start. During the webinar, Luedke will highlight what is known about mentoring in STEM, research-based practices that can be incorporated to improve mentoring, and discuss how mentoring can impact relationships with students in the lab and in the classroom.
