Description
Managing money as a graduate student is uniquely challenging. Stipends, assistantship pay, and tuition waivers create a financial situation unlike most others, and the pressures of academic life can make it hard to think strategically about longer-term financial health. This workshop is designed to help graduate students build practical financial skills and develop habits that support stability both during graduate school and into their careers. Topics will include budgeting on a graduate student income, understanding student loan options and repayment strategies, building an emergency fund, and planning for financial goals beyond graduation.
By participating in this workshop, attendees will:
- Learn practical budgeting strategies tailored to the realities of graduate student income and expenses.
- Understand key considerations around student loans, repayment options, and building financial resilience during and after graduate school.
- Gain tools and resources to support long-term financial wellness and begin taking intentional steps toward their financial goals.
