Office/Remote Location
Description
Sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR), this workshop offers students an inside look at how to transform a passion for art history into academic research. Led by Lorenzo, a Research Peer Mentor for Art in the Office of Undergraduate Research, this session will begin with a personal reflection on research with challenges and opportunities for future research.
Students will be guided through a journey on how to move from visual analysis to research-based inquiry. The workshop will break down how to critically observe an artwork and identify key research questions while developing a focused topic for further exploration.
By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of how to begin their own research in art history and how to take advantage of the resources and mentorship opportunities available through OUR.
