In the Garden: A Fundraising Recital by Alexia Hamilton and Miarphe Lapingcao
Campus Location
Office/Remote Location
Description
Please join Alexia Hamilton and Miarphe Lapingcao for their most exciting fundraising endeavor: a joint recital! The hour-long program will feature works by some of their favorite composers. Complete with beautiful arias and soaring duets, this recital will definitely be an event you won't want to miss, and admission is free.
Alexia and Mia are fundraising to support their summer education. They have been accepted into the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) 2026 Summer Program in Graz, Austria. There, they will further their professional development and education as emerging operatic artists. During this six-week program, they will have the opportunity to audition for professionals, perform with the AIMS Festival Orchestra, collaborate with new colleagues, and learn from voice teachers and coaches from around the world.
They are both very grateful to have received a total of $3,000 each in scholarships, and they are reaching out to the community for help in fundraising the remaining costs. Their objective is to raise $12,000 in donations and crowdfunding ($6,000 for each singer). This will not cover incidental or living expenses while in Graz.
Though admission to their recital is free, they humbly ask that you consider donating what you can toward their summer education fund.
Bring your friends, family, and anyone who loves beautiful music and wants to support the next generation of opera artists! Alexia and Mia are so excited to share this music with you and are eternally grateful for your support.
